Project Description

Smile in a day
Replace a full set of teeth in just a single day!

The All on 4 Dental Implant System uses just 4 dental implants to support a full arch of teeth on both the upper, lower, or both jaws.

The system reduces the amount of dental implants needed and treatment time with the implants and bridge of new teeth being placed in just one day unlike other procedures which can involve hours of treatment and months of healing time.

The results are a fully functional set of teeth that look and feel completely natural. Even patients who  have been without teeth for most of their lives can have new fixed teeth.

How it works

The All on 4 Dental Implant System works similarly to other implant procedures, with the main distinction being the angle at which the implants are inserted and the time taken to complete the treatment. By altering the angle degree at which the implant is inserted, greater stability is given to teeth, because bone fusion can occur at a faster rate.

Depending on the health of your teeth, you may or may not require root canal treatment or bone grafting before the implant is fitted. We will, of course, advise  you of any pre-implant preparation required.

Implants have the highest success rate when performed on suitable candidates. Factors posing as risks to success are if the patient is diabetic or smokes heavily.

What if I am a smoker?

Smokers must note they are two and a half times more likely to experience failure than non-smokers. However, this does not preclude smokers from having implants.

“Smile In A Day gives you a new-found confidence in your appearance.”

What if I suffer from gum disease?

Your gum disease will need to be dealt with prior to proceeding with implants. Treatment may be a professional clean by the dentist (to decrease bacterial count) and a continuation of good oral hygiene regimes at home. For severe cases of gum disease a more intense gum treatment performed by a periodontist may be necessary. It is important the patient understands the importance of good oral hygiene and is able to undertake daily brushing and flossing using correct techniques prior to the placement of implants.

“You’ll  never have to deal with the worry and embarrassment of dentures.”

Am I too old to have implants?

Age is not a factor for dental implant success, although your general medical health will be taken into account. Bone healing around dental implants occurs in older patients is almost as successful as in younger patients.

jaiHaving a full set of beautiful teeth can dramatically improve your quality of life.

You will find your confidence boosted with eating and talking becoming much easier than before.

What is the Smile in a Day system?

The Smile in a Day system is also sometimes referred to as ‘Same Day Teeth‘ or ‘All-on-4‘.  Unlike traditional implants and restoration methods, the Smile in a Day system uses just four implants joined to your existing bone structure to give you a completely new set of teeth in just one day.  It is suitable for patients who have either already lost their teeth or even those who will lose them in future.

How is it done?

Two dental implants are permanantly attached at the front of the jaw and two at the back. They are both specially positioned so no bone grafting is required. The result is a perfectly-placed and stable foundation for a full arch of teeth which will fit the existing contours of your mouth and feel  natural and comfortable.

What are the benefits?

  • Implants are fixed in place and look and perform almost like natural teeth with no need for adhesives
  • Smile In A Day gives you a new-found confidence in your appearance.
  • You will never have to deal with the worry and embarrassment of dentures.
  • You’ll  be able to eat a wider range of foods and enjoy their flavours, thanks to the careful positioning of implants on your palate.
  • Your facial features are preserved and surrounding healthy teeth are left undamaged
  • Implants prevent loss of bone in the area of missing teeth

Is the procedure painful?

Just like any other oral surgical procedure, there is some associated discomfort, however the feedback we get from most patients is that they are usually surprised at how short the period of discomfort was.

How successful are dental implants?

With more than three decades of clinical experience and over a million patients treated worldwide, statistics confirm the success rate of 95% for single teeth and close to 100% for implant bridges using Nobel Biocare implants.

Can anyone have dental implants?

Almost everyone that has lost a tooth, several teeth or even all of their teeth is a candidate for dental implants. There are very few situations in which implants are not suitable.

How do I care for the  implants?

Implant supported teeth need to be brushed and cared for just like natural teeth, although flossing will be different. As with natural teeth, you will need to visit your dentist and hygienist periodically for review and maintenance.

Are there any associated risks?

The All on 4 system has been proven to be highly effective and is very popular worldwide, however, as with all surgical treatments, there are some risks. After the procedure you may experience some swelling and discomfort but this should subside quickly and can be relieved by over the counter pain relief.

Our highly trained team have a great deal of experience and we will make sure that you are a suitable candidate for the treatment before we agree to go ahead.
