Teeth straightening alternatives if you don’t want a brace

It’s not uncommon for teeth to grow into crooked positions or to become overlapped and crowded over time, leaving us feeling self-conscious about the appearance of our smile.

For many years the fitting of traditional wire braces was the most recognised solution for realigning teeth, but the advancement of modern dental treatments and techniques mean there are easier and far less visible options readily available to patients.

Here at JDRM Dental Care we offer an excellent alternative treatment for patients who do not wish to have a brace fitted:

Invisalign

Popular worldwide, Invisalign has been used to successfully treat more than half a million cases and has proved particularly effective in treating crooked teeth and closing unwanted gaps.

The use of the Invisalign system has grown rapidly over the past decade because it has made orthodontic treatment far more accessible to adults who may previously have been put off having orthodontic treatment due to the appearance of traditional metal braces.

Invisalign works by applying a series of clear, removable, custom-made plastic aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. These aligners are particularly popular as they are completely invisible, which means that there are no signs of treatment and the speech of the patient is not at all impaired.

Treatment with Invisalign usually takes half the time of traditional orthodontic treatment and because the aligner is removable, patients can brush and clean their teeth as normal.

At JDRM Dental Care we offer this popular method of alignment as a stand-alone treatment or as a preparatory measure before undertaking cosmetic options such as bonding.
